From QIUSUO, we offer metal woven wire mesh made of a variety of materials for various industrial applications. Choosing the proper material for your applications depends on material chemical and physical properties. Here, we briefly introduce the properties of materials we can offer for your reference to help you choose material correctly and quickly. Materials wires available as follows.
Mild Steel
Plain low carbon steel typically Q195, drawn from rod. Combines strength and weldability with economy.
Galvanized Before Weaving / Welding
Carbon steel coated with a light layer of zinc during the manufacturing process. Adequate corrosion resistance is provided for most indoor applications, but not recommended for outdoor installations.
Galvanized After Woven / Welding
Carbon steel coated with a heavy layer of zinc after the manufacture of the mesh. Excellent for long term corrosion protection.
High Carbon Steel
Abrasion resistant steel used for applications facing significant wear such as media filtering or sorting. Abrasion resistant steel can be difficult to weld, consider mechanical fastening to supporting structure.

Aluminum Alloy
Lightweight and mildly resistant to corrosion, aluminum alloys are readily available. Alloy 1350 is most common and can be easily welded and anodized. Also available are alloys 5056 and 6061.
300 Series stainless steels - for high performance in general commercial and industrial applications
Our wire mesh/cloth commonly manufactured in 300 series alloys. Type 304 is most popular, but also available in types 309, 310, 316, 321 & 347. Series 400 alloys are also available on special order. 300 series alloys Woven Wire Mesh are in stock.
Stainless steel is an alloy of iron and chromium with remarkable heat & corrosion resistance when compared with carbon steel. That's because the chromium in the stainless steel can produce an oxide layer on the surface to protect and prevent from further corrosion. As a result, it becomes one of the most popular material for woven wire mesh. Stainless steel woven mesh is widely used in various sieving, filtration, EMI shielding, screen printing and insect prevention applications.
Our most common types of stainless steel used for woven wire mesh include stainless steel 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 321, 314, 430 and 904L. For specific stainless steel type selection, please contact us for further material considerations.

Nickel & Non-Ferrous- For Specialized Environments
Inconel 600, Monel 400, Nichrome V and Hastalloy C276 offer specific characteristics desirable in specialized environments.
Copper based alloys, bronze, brass and titanium are also available for all woven products. Copper is a soft, malleable and ductile metal with very high thermal and electrical conductivity. When exposed to the air for a long time, a slow oxidation reaction occurs to form a layer of copper oxide and further enhance the corrosion resistance of the copper. Due to its high price, copper is not a common material for woven wire mesh. With high density, copper woven mesh is widely used in various EMI shielding and insect prevention applications.

Secondary finishes may sometimes be desired to protect the mesh or to enhance a desired performance or aesthetic.
