Wedge Wire Intake Screen Components for Customer Assembly

A customer required a customized wedge wire intake screen for a water intake system. The screen was designed with an 800 mm inner diameter, 1000 mm length and 3 mm slot opening.

To reduce freight volume and transportation cost, the intake screen was supplied as separate components for local assembly and welding.

The screen was manufactured from super duplex stainless steel 2507 with a polished finish. It featured radial external construction, outside-to-inside flow direction, internal reinforcing rings, and one blind end with a centrally located Ø300 mm access opening. A matching cover plate and complete fastener set were supplied for installation.
